Automotive Art, Classic-Iconic-Gorgeous are just a few superlatives to describe this 1970 Jaguar 4.2 E-Type FHC Series II. This is an excellent condition driver to enjoy on the open road, take to shows and classic car events to display with pride and joy. As vintage Jaguar experts for over 50yrs Foreign Traffic has been servicing this fine automobile for the last 5yrs. It has been impeccably maintained by the current owner. We are offering it for sale on consignment on his behalf. It needs absolutely nothing except the purchase to immediately feel the exhilaration of every twist and bend the road ahead has to offer. The E-Type’s claimed 150 mph top speed, sub-7-second 0 to 60mph acceleration, unitary construction, disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, and independent front and rear suspension with in board rear braking system distinguished the car and spurred industry-wide changes. The E-Type was based on Jaguar’s D-type racing car, which had won the 24 Hours of LeMans three consecutive years beginning 1955, and employed what was, for the early 1960s, a novel racing design principle, with a front subframe carrying the engine, front suspension and front bodywork bolted directly to the body tub. No ladder frame chassis, as was common at the time, was needed and as such the first cars weighed only 2900lb. Priced well below market this E-Type is set not be only extremely enjoyable asset, but one that will appreciate as well. Act fast for this incredible opportunity will not last long.
